We’re pleased to return to King Street in Uptown Waterloo for 2014! Join us for a free half day (and one night) of on-the-street fun for families, students, residents, artists, and neighbourhoods. Discover new craft vendors, check out cool clubs and associations, chalk the ground, hear music from local musical talent, or sit and watch the foot traffic go by and get to know new friends.
Why? Because Open Streets is a series of community afternoons inviting everyone to come walk, ride, play and explore our vibrant urban centre along King Street.
At a glance
Sun June 15, 1-5pm– Join us for Father’s Day for scavenger hunts, music, crafts and more. Plus, we celebrate unicycles, tricycles and training wheels with a special bike theme.
Sat July 19, 6-11pm– Back by popular demand It’s the return of Open Streets at Night! We’ll be sharing the date with the Jazz Festival, also taking place in Uptown Waterloo that evening.
**NEW DATE!** Sun Aug 3, 1-5pm – In collaboration with the Sports Bike Car Show! It may be the dog days of summer, but beat the heat with water activities, and a celebration of sports and fitness.
Sun Sept 14, 1-5pm – The final Open Streets of the year happens the same time as Fashion Week. Let’s get glamourous with B-BOY battles. drama and fashion shows.
